Krakow Restaurant Week is the biggest dining event in the city's calendar. For seven weeks, more than fifty restaurants each cook a special three-course menu with a cocktail for one fixed price, and you book the ones you want online. This is the preview, written before it starts: the numbers, the booking steps and an honest take on whether it is worth your evening. Not a review, since nobody has eaten the festival menus yet.

How to book, in four steps
-
Open the official list
All participating restaurants, their festival menus and the free time slots live on the RestaurantClub site. There is no booking by phone or at the door.
-
Pick a restaurant and a slot
Read the three-course menu first, since it is fixed and smaller than the regular carte. The best-reviewed rooms and Friday and Saturday evenings go first.
-
Pay the 9.99 zl fee to confirm
Charged per person at checkout. It holds the table and is the reason the festival has so few no-shows. Visa cardholders usually see a small extra discount here.
-
Pay 70 zl at the table
The meal itself is settled at the restaurant. Extra drinks beyond the included cocktail, and the tip, are on top.
Is it worth it
Yes, with one rule: go for the restaurant, not the discount.
At 70 zl for three courses and a cocktail, the value is real, especially at the mid-range and upper rooms that make up most of the lineup. The trade-off is a fixed menu that shows you a taste of a kitchen, not its full range. Treat it as a low-risk way to finally try the place you have been meaning to book, not as a way to eat cheaply at the fanciest table in town.
Past Krakow editions have run from steakhouses like Ed Red and Mucca to modern Polish and Italian tables, and Kultova was voted the festival's best restaurant in Poland in a recent round. The current lineup changes each edition, so check the official list rather than last year's.
